Yesterday’s fierce performance by the Rolling Stones tribute band The Stones at The Beat Beach Club brought the third Rabac Open Air festival summer to an end. The band members, led by frontman Benjamin Wattam and Mick Jagger’s eccentric energy, took the audience on a journey into the golden days of the greatest rock sensation of all times.
These energetic Brits treated the audience to a proper rock spectacle and officially closed this year’s festival, showing that they do indeed have some original “moves like Jagger” and playing the greatest Rolling Stones’ hits. They opened their two-hour performance with the successful number Brown Sugar and then one hit followed another to the delight of the audience in the crowded Beat Beach Club, who readily welcomed them, singing and dancing to their beats. Get Off Of My Cloud, Street Fighting Man, Gimme Shelter, Sympathy For The Devil and other hits created a memorable atmosphere. The band ended the first part of their performance with the smash hit Satisfaction, leaving the audience calling for an encore.
This British band, which managed to convey the authentic sounds, moves and energy of the real Rolling Stones, was a real cherry on top of the Rabac Open Air festival.
Over the past two months, Rabac Open Air brought entertainment to both tourists and locals with its rich and diverse programmes. Visitors have been treated to numerous movie hits, live music performances, meet-and-greets with beloved cartoon characters, educational and circus shows and night-time sightseeing tours of the town of Labin.
Entrance to all Rabac Open Air events is free; while more information is available on the official website www.rabacopenair.com, as well as the official Facebook, Instagram and YouTube accounts.
